You Are Not Your Thoughts

It's A True Fact

'Our Thoughts Create Our Experiences'

or

'What You Focus On - Grows'

Most of us are held hostage by our repetitive negative or limiting mental thoughts.

That voice that never stops spinning in our heads. And because our thoughts create our experiences, those negative thoughts (beliefs, stories, attitudes and histories) seem to create a lot of problematic experiences:

  •  We behave defensively - convincing ourselves that others are out to get us.

  • We lose our confidence - believing that we don't have any influence

  • We buy into that voice - believing... "you’re not good enough"... "you’re not smart enough"... "you’re not pretty enough", etc." and we stop ourselves in our tracks.

The ticket to freedom, is to become aware that you do not have to believe your thoughts.

Read that again this way...

You are not your thoughts!

So, How do you create new thoughts?

When you notice a particular negative thought pattern, stop - take pause, ask yourself these questions (you can substitute the word belief for thought in each of these questions):

  1.  Is this thought true?

  2.  How is having this thought serving  me? Who would I be if I didn’t have this thought?

  3. What would a new positive thought be, what would it feel like and what new possibilities can I create with this new thought?

You have the ability to choose the thoughts (and experiences) you want.
